Van kills Ten And Injures 15 In Toronto.

On Monday, a van hit and killed at least 10 pedestrians and injured more than a dozen in Toronto.

According to CBS News, the incident took place on Yonge Street around 1:30 p.m. The driver initially fled the scene, but authorities located the van with the driver inside and took him into custody.

Sources identified the suspect as Alek Minassian, 25, from Richmond Hill.

Police say they do not know the motive behind the incident, but witnesses say that the driver was moving fast and his actions appeared to be intentional.

Peter Kang, a witness from the scene said, “If it was an accident he would have stopped, but the person just went through the sidewalk. He could have stopped.”

The Minister of Public Safety has said it is too soon to say whether the crash will be considered international terrorism and the government has not raised its terrorism alert.

Victims of the crash were taken to Sunnybrook Hospital, and they have provided updates via social media.
