The meme read “All Lives Splatter” and had an image of a car ramming through protesters in the street.
Many found the image, which was posted to the Chelan County Emergency Management page, to be offensive to Heather Heyer, who was killed during the Charlottesville white supremacy rally.

After the meme was removed, Chelan County Sheriff Brian Burnett swiftly issued an apology, which said a “noncommissioned” employee meant to share it on a personal account.
